We finished our first full day in Belize and it was fantastic! We woke up, ate breakfast (which consisted of delicious waffles) and went into town. We all had the opportunity to visit the market in San Ignacio and to meet the locals. The town is amazing, and there is such a sense of community (and don't worry, we are completely safe...especially with Mr. Smith)! Then we visited Sacred Heart Church, where we would attend Mass on Sunday. After lunch we were able to prepare our lessons plans for later this week. We are all having a great time, taking in the culture, and looking forward to what God has in store for us in the upcoming week!
